She attended the University of California, Irvine where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. She then ventured to Washington, DC for her Masters Degree at Georgetown University, studying Physiology and Complementary/Alternative Medicine. While she always had the intuition that medicine should be approached in a holistic fashion, this degree solidified that passion and motivated her to pursue osteopathic medical school. Dr. Lafian earned her medical degree from Touro University in Northern California.
